My Teacher, Ms. Lisa

The new semester has started, and everyone in our class is super excited. New textbooks, new desks, new classmates—everything feels so fresh and different. But what we’re most curious and excited about are our new teachers. Among them, our language teacher, Ms. Lisa, is the most special.

On the first day of school, as soon as Ms. Lisa walked into the classroom, the whole class couldn’t help but cheer. She looked nothing like the kind of teacher we imagined. Ms. Lisa is young and beautiful, with long, black hair that always falls neatly over her shoulders, reaching down to her waist. She’s tall and elegant, and when she walks, she has this amazing air about her. Even though she usually has a slightly serious look on her face, we can all feel how much she cares about her students.

Ms. Lisa’s outfits are really special, too. She wears something different every day, and everything she wears looks amazing. Whether it’s a light-colored dress or a neat, graceful hanfu, she always looks beautiful and has this proper, teacher-like dignity. Every time we have class, we all sneak little glances to see what she’s wearing that day.

But Ms. Lisa can also be pretty strict. She doesn’t allow us to mess around during class, and she really doesn’t like it when we get distracted. One time during language class, I secretly took out my action figures to play with. I thought she wouldn’t notice, but suddenly she walked right up to me, didn’t say a word, and just confiscated them. I was scared and a little sad at the time, but later I realized she just wanted me to focus on the lesson. She’s strict with us because she wants us to learn more.

My action figures, confiscated by Ms. Lisa😭😭😭

Ms. Lisa also praises us. One time, she asked us to write an essay, and I turned in this one:

Essay: The Animals Are Sick

My sister and I were playing in our room. I was the doctor, and she was the nurse. The sheep had a tummy ache, the elephant had a headache, the monkey had a runny nose and kept sneezing, and the giraffe was coughing and had a sore throat. Everyone was feeling unwell. I told them, “You’re all sick!” My sister asked the animals, “Do you want to go home?” The animals said, “No! We want to keep playing with you!”

After reading my essay, Ms. Lisa said it was really fun and gave me a perfect score. She also suggested that I stop using those big, chubby letters like a first grader. That made me super happy, and I secretly promised myself: from now on, I’ll write even more interesting essays to make Ms. Lisa proud.

Even though Ms. Lisa can be strict sometimes, I still like her a lot. I think she’s a teacher who truly cares about her students and takes teaching seriously. I hope I can keep learning from Ms. Lisa and keep improving!
