Welcome to yego.blog, my personal blog featuring stories and essays. I hope you find the essays helpful and the stories entertaining.
The name “yego” comes from “Yegorushka,” the name of the little boy in Chekhov’s story The Steppe. “-rushka” is a diminutive, and “Yegor” is the Russian form of “George.” Since I’m no longer little, and not exactly a Yegor, I dropped the “-rushka” and the “r” and kept “yego”—a compromise! Sigh!
